چکیده
BACKGROUND To determine radiological features of arthropathy in systemic sclerosis patients with polyarthritis. RESULTS Forty one women and 5 men were included in this study. The mean age was 41 + 14,2 years, the mean duration of disease was 10,5+ 6,5 years. Thirty seven patients (80%) had radiological abnormalities including joint space narrowing (37%) and erosions (43%). At presentation, the prevalence of radiological foot abnormalities was lower than that of hands (26% vs 79%, p < 0,001). There was no significant difference between patients with (n = 24) and without erosive arthropathy (Joint space narrowing and/or erosion) (n = 22) in terms of cutaneous subtype, organ involvement, calcinosis presence of rheumatoid factor, ANA, Anti-topoisomerase antibodies. CONCLUSION This study showed an high frequency of erosive arthropathy in our Morroccan SSc patients with clinical synovitis.

The articular manifestations of progressive systemic sclerosis (scleroderma).
The articular manifestations of progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) were studied in 38 patients. Of these, 66% experienced joint pain and 61% had signs of joint inflammation. Limitation of joint movement was seen in 45%. Radiological abnormalities included periarticular osteoporosis (42%), joint space narrowing (34%), and erosions (40%). Erosive disease did not correlate with disease duration,...

BACKGROUND Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis (MRH) is a rare systemic disease, presenting with typical skin abnormalities and erosive polyarthritis, which is often associated with malignancy. CASE REPORT A case of MRH arthropathy, in which the typical nodular skin manifestation of the disease was absent, is described in a patient with a past history of breast cancer and no evidence of recurr...
متن کاملDeforming arthropathy or lupus and rhupus hands in systemic lupus erythematosus.
OBJECTIVE Although deforming arthropathy in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is characterised by a number of manifestations, definitive criteria for the different forms have not yet been established. To define deforming arthropathy and its different types a study was undertaken of 176 SLE patients. METHODS Using as criterion any deviation from any of the metacarpus finger axes 17 patients (...
متن کاملTotal Knee Arthroplasty Following Mycobacterium Kansasii Septic Arthritis in a Patient with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Essential Thrombocythemia
Arthritis and arthralgias are noted in up to 95% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), but they are typically responsive to immunosuppression and are often transient [1]. The arthritis of SLE is characterized by a non-erosive inflammatory arthropathy (Jacouds Arthropathy); however, in the knee joint osteonecrosis can occur, leading to accelerated articular degeneration. Studies s...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasonography detect and characterize covert inflammatory arthropathy in systemic sclerosis patients with arthralgia.
OBJECTIVES Arthropathy, particularly synovial inflammation in SSc, is not well characterized. We explored the role of MRI and musculoskeletal ultrasonography (MSUS) in detecting and characterizing synovial inflammation in SSc patients with arthralgia while comparing the two imaging modalities. METHODS Seventeen SSc patients with arthralgia and no overt inflammatory arthritis had a baseline MS...
